ROSTARR x INCASE x CURATED BY ARKITIP

Taking part in the ninth installment of Incase’s ongoing Curated by Arkitip project. Based on a series of paintings inspired by the Tour de France (which deal with the nature of competition between individuals, the energy and emotion of the race, and ultimately, the reward), the Brooklyn-based artist created a series of geometric paintings, which were applied to Incase’s signature protective cases including a MacBook sleeve, a book jacket for the iPad 2, and a snap case for the iPhone 4. All release today through Incase’s website and Arkitip's website.

Kathy Grayson, owner of The Hole, curated her first show in 2003 because of a zine the ALIFE guys carried in their pop up shop at Deitch Projects, 2002. KILL THE EGO @ CIRCUITO OFF VENICE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Kill the Ego will be screened on September 4, 2010, at the prestigious Circuito Off Venice International Short Film Festival in Venice. The festival program describes the film thus: “This film is the encounter between the work of American painter Rostarr and sound recordings that Soundwalk did in New York between 1998 and 2008. Rostarr captured the sound material and placed in matter in motion and color the words of fragmented memories, poets and prophets, visionaries and lost children. A story, a tribute to the city, is emerging in the assembly of these micro-narratives.”
